Does BillCircle collect residents' contribution money?
No. Residents pay the community's own account. BillCircle records what residents report, and the community administrator confirms whether the money was received. BillCircle does not receive, store or distribute community funds.
Can a smaller flat pay a different amount?
Yes. An administrator can split one expense equally, use agreed property shares, set specific amounts, or leave a property out. The method can differ by expense.
Do residents need to learn a new app?
Normal resident updates happen privately on WhatsApp. Secure join links help residents connect to the right property without memorising commands.
How do payment reports work?
A resident tells BillCircle that they transferred money. The administrator checks the community payment account before marking it confirmed received or rejecting the report.
Does BillCircle send payment reminders automatically?
Yes, when the administrator turns automatic reminders on and sets a due date. BillCircle can privately remind residents on WhatsApp around 9:00am on days 1, 3 and 7 after the due date. See how automatic reminders work.
Will BillCircle remind someone who has already reported a payment?
Not when the resident has reported the full remaining payment and it is waiting for the administrator to check. If only part has been reported, BillCircle can still send a reminder because part of the balance has not yet been reported. Confirmed payments stop reminders.
Can I reuse last month's bill?
Yes. Copy the last bill, change the new amounts, check every property's share, then send it.
What does the monthly fee pay for?
The ₦5,000 monthly fee pays for the BillCircle service. It is separate from every resident contribution and is collected through Paystack.
How does the 14-day trial work?
The trial begins when an administrator creates a community. No card is required. After 14 days, the community can continue for ₦5,000 per month.
